Everything But The Bucket. Halloween Candy Cookies

These cookies won't win a beauty contest anytime soon but they are a delicious way to help clean out that candy bucket. The more variety of candies the better. Obviously I'd stay away from the fruity, gummy, or sour stuff but if it has chocolate on it, it's fair game.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 C (1 stick) Salted butter - Room temperature

  • 1/2 C Crisco "Butter"

  • 1 C White Sugar

  • 1 C Brown Sugar

  • 2 Eggs - Room temperature

  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla

  • 2 1/2 C Flour

  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

  • 4C Assorted Chopped Chocolate Candies (Snickers, Milk Way, Reese, Butterfinger, Crunch, M+M's, Twix, 100 Grand, Almond Joy, etc, etc, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Chop candy into smaller pieces. I usually cut the "bite size" ones in half.

  3. Using an electric mixer cream butter, Crisco and sugars together.

  4. Add in Vanilla and eggs

  5. Slowly add Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder to mixer.

  6. Stir in candy with a wooden spoon.

  7. Scoop (I like a large #40 scoop for this cookie) on to a parchment paper lined cookies sheet.

  8. Bake for 15 mins

  9. Transfer to brown paper or racks to cool
